Mount Oldoinyo Lengai

Oldoinyo Lengai is a Maasai name meaning the “Mountain of God” is an active volcanic mountain in Eastern of Rift Valley and the only active volcanic mountain in the world that produce Natro-Carbonatite Lava. Its approximately 4 Hours drives from Arusha to Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain. Oldoinyo Lengai rises at the parched rift valley floor to a height of 2886meter/9469b foot. You start the steep 6 hours climb around midnight with the goal reaching crater rim for sunrise. After exploring the crater you complete your adventure by doing 4 hours hike down the Mountains.
